So of course the logical solution is to get a new secondary HD. So I'm off to Newegg.com, order a new 500 gig (to supplement my original 70 gig) HD, and 3 business days later (5 because the world ceases to function on the weekend) and it's there. Sounds great, don't in? They didn't include the SATA cable I needed. Ookay, that's fine. I'll go get one!
Radio Shack failed. Two other places in town failed. My ever generous dad uses his lunch break to look over in the Twin Cities for me. Another Radio Shack failed, as did a Best Buy. BACK to newegg, and another five day wait, and a $10 dollar (shipping cost more than the cable itself) cable later and and I'm back in business!
Whoo! A comparably infinite amount of space to store my crap on! .avi files! Old, esoteric games that despite only being a gigabyte or two I can now run again! 600 .pdfs of gaming manuals! Life is GOOD!
And then came this morning.
My DAMN SATA bus is COMPLETELY TRASHED! My BIOS wouldn't even recognize my OLD HD let alone my new one! Steel-toed Boot up my ass? No! Steel Toed boot SEQUENCE up my ass!
Luckily unplugging the new SATA drive completely brought everything back, but now I sit with ALL my important data on a potentially corrupt HD, from my Oblivion mods to my WoW add-ons to ALL my .pdf and .avi files to every last one of my games EXCEPT NwN2, which was corrupted earlier yesterday in a uninstallation calamity!
AAAAAARGH!

Operatic Metal sums them up well, though if you've heard some of their more "varied" stuff (Moondance, The Islander, Last of the Wilds, Blood Mary's Creek) you'd be surprised it was them. It's all good, though.
